Short Bio of important leaders:
Yi Song-gye was the general of Choson, he was seizing military and political throne which allowed him to be placed on the throne and ruler of the Choson kingdom. The Silla kingdom was founded by King Park Hyeokgeose. Once allied with China, Silla conquered the other two kingdoms


Reason for fall of culture/civilization:
The Chinese invaded and conquered Choson and turned it into a chinese colony.
Silla eventually grew weak and was shaken by internal rebellion.



What makes it unique:
Being the only country that is divided; South Korea and North Korea



Other Information
Korea was first setttled by the Nomadic People. The first strong Korean Kingdom, Choson, was strong enough to expert
some controls. In 108 BC the troops from China had conquered Choson and turned it into a chinese colony. On the Peninsula
there were three other kingdoms, the three other kingdoms were Koguryo, Paekche and Silla the kingdoms were developed
in opposition to the chinese. However the three kingdoms (was always fighting each other that they could not challenge
China until after the fall of the Han dynasty.
In 313 AD Koguryo invaded and took over the chinese colony. Around 670 the kingdom of Silla had united Korea for the
first time. Early 900's a new kingdom Koryo rose to challenge Silla's powers. In 935 Koryo had taken control of the Korean
Penisula which it ruled til 1392.
Shilla (57B.C. to A.D. 935) reached the peak of power and the prosperity. Shilla attempted to establish an ideal Buddhist country.
